Lecce-government-news

On May 1, 2023, the Ontario Government announced that it will introduce a new mandatory education curriculum for both elementary and high school students, which aims to increase students’ mental health literacy.

More specifically, there are updates that will be made to the Mandatory Career Studies course in Grade 10, as well as increased resources on mental health made available to teachers and students in Grades 7 and 8.

I am so pleased to hear this announcement because it indicates steps forward in a positive direction. The government is taking action in our battle against the mental health struggles that an increasing number of students face.
